WebCCTV servers (DVR) are exclusive web based digital surveillance security systems where recording is optimized through activity detection. WebCCTV allows you to record pre and post alarm events and to retrieve specific images easily. Instead of searching through endless videotapes you operate with accurately structured information: all events are registered and represented in logical order.

They simultaneously record, archive and transmit high quality images that can be accessed by multiple users over a Local Area Network or the Internet. Three major functionalities are combined: on-site digital recording, multiplexing and transmitting through existing networks (TCP/IP) and/or standard telephone lines (ISDN or PSTN).

WebCCTV records all images of all cameras continuously. Once full, the image database operates on a first in first overwritten principle. This continuous recording allows WebCCTV to store pre-alarm events (programmable up to 120 minutes prior to alarm) that are often more important than the alarm event itself. These alarm images are stored in a special alarm storage partition and will not be overwritten by non-alarm events.
